What Is the Mazda CX-3?
The Mazda CX-3 is a subcompact crossover SUV; when it was released in 2016, it became the smallest vehicle in Mazda's SUV lineup. Despite its name, the CX-3 is not based on the compact Mazda3 sedan but uses the same platform as the subcompact Mazda2. The CX-3 earned immediate acclaim for its sleek and sporty design, with great looks that are unmistakably Mazda and stand out in the SUV market. Despite its small size, the CX-3 launched with a sporty 2.0L engine producing 146 hp. The 2016 model came with front-wheel drive standard and had all-wheel drive available, while a manual transmission option was added in 2017.
